Amy obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Law in 2012 and her LLB degree in 2014 from the University of Cape Town. Amy joined Hayes Inc as a candidate attorney in 2015 and completed her LEAD Practical Legal Training course part-time.

She completed her articles of clerkship with Hayes Inc in January 2017 and was subsequently admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. In 2019 Amy obtained her LLM degree, specialising in commercial law, from the University of Cape Town.

Amy specialises in corporate and commercial matters and is a director of both Themis Commercial Legal Advisors (Pty) Ltd and Hayes Inc.
